My most memorable moment on the rugby field:
My most memorable moment is winning against Grey College in my matric year and being named Player of the Match. It stands out because it was the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, and achieving that milestone meant a lot to me personally.

Pre-game ritual or superstition:
I don’t have a specific pre-game ritual. I like to stay focused and let my preparation do the talking.

Biggest inspiration in rugby:
In terms of playing style, Dan Carter has always been an inspiration. When it comes to influence and character, Coach Ruan Pienaar stands out. To have a coach believe in you, play until 40, and leave a legacy as a South African legend is something every rugby player dreams of.

A challenging moment in my rugby career and how I overcame it:
I’ve had my fair share of injuries, but I believe every setback sets up a beautiful comeback story. I’m currently in rehab from a fasciotomy operation I had on both legs, and I’m determined to make a statement when I get back on the field.

Hobbies and activities away from rugby:
I enjoy golfing and watching a lot of sports to unwind and relax.

 Advice for young aspiring rugby players:
Hard work beats talent every time. If you give this sport your all, it will always give something back.

.Most unusual or unique place I’ve played rugby:
Probably Faure Street during the Paarl Gim vs Paarl Boys derby, because you work for five years just to get the chance to play on that field.
