Zander du Plessis
Zander du Plessis’ rugby journey includes a standout moment winning the Varsity Cup with Tuks, a pivotal achievement that helped launch his senior professional career. He does not follow any pre-game rituals, preferring to focus on preparation naturally.
Growing up, Zander drew inspiration from several rugby players, and throughout his career, he has been greatly influenced by the guidance of his coaches. Known for his disciplined and consistent approach to the game, he encourages young aspiring players to remain coachable and dedicated to their development.
Off the field, Zander enjoys hunting and relaxing with series or movies. Within the squad, he considers Marco Janse van Vuren the funniest teammate. Among the cities he has played in, Edinburgh stands out as the most interesting experience.
If he could host a rugby legends braai, Zander would invite Matt Giteau, Dan Carter, and Schalk Burger. And yes, he can light a fire without a blitz.
