Clayton Anthony Blommetjies (born 30 August 1990) is a South African rugby union player who currently plays for the DHL Stormers in the United Rugby Championship and for Western Province in the Currie Cup. His usual position is full-back or wing.
Career
Blommetjies began his rugby journey representing the Boland Cavaliers at youth level before joining the Blue Bulls in 2009. He made his Currie Cup debut in the opening match of the 2012 Currie Cup Premier Division against Griquas, and has made a total of 26 appearances in the Vodacom Cup.
He also represented UP Tuks in the Varsity Cup from 2009. In 2014, Blommetjies signed with the Free State Cheetahs, joining them on 1 August 2014.
In 2018, he featured in the Guinness PRO14 for the Cheetahs, including a match against Ulster, but then briefly moved abroad. On 9 April 2019, he joined Leicester Tigers in England’s Premiership Rugby on loan, making two appearances before returning to Scarlets in Wales.
