After the completion of the Free State Women’s Club league, the Free State Women’s Elite training squad of 47 players were selected.  This squad will be reduced to 40 by the end of June.  The Free State Senior Women’s team will still compete in the SA Women’s First Division (South) during 2022.  This competition kicks off on 2 July with a home game against the Griffons. On 9 July the team travels to SWD and on 16 July to Griquas.  After completion of the 3 games, the winners of the South will play against the winners of the North (Leopards, Pumas, Falcons & Limpopo Blue Bulls) on 30 July to determine the all-out winner of the First Division.
