The Toyota Cheetah center, Francios Venter has been named captain for the 2016 Super Rugby season. 

He had the opportunity to lead the team on three occations last year – when the Toyota Cheetahs played against the Highlanders in Super Rugby and with the Toyota Free State Cheetah’s games against Griquas and Lions in Currie Cup.

Francois has been playing excellent rugby last season and was invited to the Springbok training camp.  At the end of 2015 Venter was invited to play for the Barbarians against Gloucester.
