CONDITIONING  COACH -

CHEETAHS JUNIOR PLAYERS

Responsibilities

• Strength training, conditioning, monitoring and recovery of all the junior contracted players at the union.
• Guide the players regarding nutrition and supplements.  
• Assist injured players with their return to play.
• Assistance to the Currie Cup team and other teams as requested by the Director of Rugby and the Head of Conditioning.
• Develop a conditioning and training programme for pre-season and in season.
• Supply data to the Head Coach (Junior Rugby) regarding training load, intensity and player wellness on a daily basis.
• Give feedback and test results to The Director of Rugby (regarding junior contracted players) on a monthly basis.
• Work with the conditioning coaches of UFS and CUT to make sure that the contracted junior players (with Free State contracts) are managed properly.
• Conditioning of players (Junior and Senior) with long term injuries.

Requirements:  

• Qualified Sports Scientist
• Qualified Biokeneticist (will count in your favour)
• HPCSA Registered
• 3+ years relevant experience
