Toyota Free State Cheetahs TEAM ANNOUCEMENT

Al drie spanne in die semi-finale

 

Vrystaat Rugby is trots op sy drie spanne wat hierdie naweek almal in die Absa Curriebeker semi-finale speel.

Die Toyota Vrystaat Cheetahs o.19’s reis na Port Elizabeth waar hulle Vrydagmiddag om 15:00 die OP o.19 span die stryd aansê in die Nelson Mandela Baai Stadion terwyl die Toyota Vrystaat Cheetahs o.21 span tuis met die Sharks sal kragte meet.  Die semi-finaal vir die o.21’s skop om 13:00 in die Vrystaat Stadion af.  Toegang vir hierdie wedstryd is gratis. 

Die Toyota Vrystaat Cheetahs wat met ‘n gelykop telling van 34-34 teen die Sharks, het vierde op die Absa Curriebeker Premier liga punte leer geëindig en daarmee vir hulself ‘n plek in die semi-finaal teen die Xerox Goue Leeus in Johannesburg verseker.  Hierdie wedstryd skop om 13:45 af. 

Veranderinge aan die Toyota Vrystaat Cheetah span:

 

  • Niel Marais begin op losskakel met Sias Ebersohn op die bank.
  • Torsten van Jaarsveld is terug nadat hy vir Namibia in die RWB diens gedoen het en vervang vir Neil Rautenbach op die bank.
  • Maks van Dyk is fiks verklaar en vervang vir Teunis Nieuwoudt op reserwe. 
  • Freddy Ngoza maak plek vir AJ Coertzen op die bank.

 

All three teams in the semi-finals     

Free State Rugby is proud of the three teams who qualified for the Absa Currie Cup semi-finals this weekend. 

The Toyota Free State Cheetahs u.19’s will be travelling to Port Elizabeth where they will be taking on the EP u.19 side on Friday afternoon at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, while the Toyota Free State Cheetah u.21 team will face the Sharks at home.  The u.21 semi-final kicks off at 13:00 in the Free State Stadium and entry is free.

The Toyota Free State Cheetahs booked themselves a semi-final clash against the Lions by drawing against the Sharks and finishig fourth on the Absa Currie Cup log.    The team will be travelling to Johannesburg on Friday.  The game kicks off on Saturday at 13:45. 

Changes to the team:

 

  • Niel Marais will be starting on fly half with Sias Ebersohn on the bench.
  • Torsten van Jaarsveld is back after doing duty for Namibia in the RWC and will be replacing Neil Rautenbach on the bench.
  • Maks van Dyk was declared fit and will be replacing Teunis Nieuwoudt as a reserve.  
  • Freddy Ngoza will be making space for AJ Coertzen on the bench.
