After the Toyota Cheetahs suffered a narrow 38-39 loss against the Black Lion on Friday, they will be determined to fight back in their second encounter on Sunday at 15:00 in Toyota Stadium.
Sunday, 26 October, will feature a curtain raiser between the Cheetahs Legends and the Blue Bulls Rugby Union Legends teams at 12:30. Both games will be live on SuperSport.
Supporters can look forward to an action-packed day at the Castle Deck, which will include a variety of food stalls, jumping castles for kids, and live entertainment by Eloff before and after the main game.
The winner of each match between the Toyota Cheetahs and Black Lion will walk away with R250,000 in prize money. This significant prize money not only adds to the intensity of the competition but also recognises the outstanding efforts of the teams, with additional prize money for the Player of the Match.
Supporters can win big prizes—the school or group that shows the most gees in the stadium will walk away with R20 000 in cash, compliments of Toyota SA as well as an individual prize of R5 000 for the person with the most original poster.
The Black Lion from Georgia is the other invitee in the ECPR Challenge Cup, which takes place in December 2025 and January 2026. This encounter will prepare both teams well, as the competition kicks off on the weekend of 6 December in Europe.
Tickets for all matches are R50 for the main stand, R30 for the open stand, and only R20 for students and children. They are available from the Toyota Stadium ticket office or online at www.ticketpros.co.za.
