The 2023 Toyota Challenge boast a total prize money of R1 million, with R250,000 awarded for each match. The Toyota Cheetahs took the first R250,000 in Round 1. This significant prize money not only adds to the intensity of the competition but also recognises the outstanding efforts of the teams.
A lucky supporter can also win big. All you have to do is snap a selfie of you at the game in Toyota Stadium and post it under the competition post on Toyota’s Facebook page with #ToyotaChallenge.
Tickets are R100 for the main stand, R50 for the open stand, and only R20 for kids. Tickets are available online at www.ticketpro.co.za or the ticket office in Toyota Stadium.
Free parking is available inside Toyota Stadium if you drive a Toyota with a valid match ticket. Enter from Kings Way and Att Horak Avenue. Supporters are urged to come early.
Entertainment will be provided by Wesna after the game at the Castle Deck.
Coach Hawies Fourie: “We are not completely satisfied with Friday’s performance but we’re glad about the win. The forwards pulled us through with the four maul tries.”
“There are a lot of changes, but hopefully the team will show more urgency. I told the players if they are healthy and fit, they are going to get game time in these two games at home. The players will have to stake a claim for the tour to Australia.”
