Free State Cheetahs (Pty) Ltd wish to state clearly that the position of Mr. Harold Verster is that he will remain as the Managing Director of the company until at least 30 September 2020.

His retirement will however also depend on the impact of the Covid-19 on Free State Rugby and SA Rugby, for his experience as President and Managing Director over many years provide stability and is invaluable during these difficult times. Thorough Succession processes will be implemented by the Board in due course.

Mr. Verster will also still be available to assist going forward post 30 September 2020 in order to facilitate a smooth transition.

Earlier reports that he resigned at the end of May is therefore incorrect.
