A coaching workshop, arranged by Free State Rugby Coaches Association and the Director of Rugby of the Free State Cheetahs (Pty) Ltd, Mr Franco Smith will take place in Bloemfontein from 23 – 24 February 2018.

The aim of the workshop is to provide opportunities for coaches to improve their existing skills and knowledge.

Day1, 23 February 2018:

Day 2, 24 February 2018:

08:15                     Theory – The building blocks in rugby that is suitable for all ages
09:00                     Planning a coaching session and exercises to improve rugby skills

10:00                     Practical session – Game management, counter attack, individual coaching, attack shape
11:15                     Line-outs (movement on the floor)
11:40                     Scrums (body position drills)
12:00                     Feedback and questions

• The registration fee for the seminar is R200 per coach
• The seminar will take place at Toyota Stadium

• All attending coaches will receive a certificate of attendance

All local coaches, especially provincial school coaches, are encouraged to attend.  These coaches will also be provided with the opportunity to become involved with the Junior Cheetah Teams.
