People are such wonderfully adaptable beings and although many might be feeling like a fish out of the water at the moment, most are adapting fast to the current situation – even making the most out of it. Speaking of fish and people reminds one of Aquaman, adapted to both water and land. It is quite appropriate in this time of adaption to host the Aquaman Run – the third event in The Justice League™ Virtual Run Series!

As Aquaman would say: "By the beard of Poseidon!" do not miss this run or this series, since not only will it be great fun but it will also be to the benefit of people in need.

Although he is best known for his ability to breathe underwater and communicate with fish, Aquaman has plenty of other super abilities. He is nearly invulnerable, has super strength and super speed. Everyone knows that Aquaman is unmatched when it comes to swimming underwater. However, because he is super strong and his reflexes are 15 times faster than that of a normal human, one can be sure he is a super fast and an excellent endurance runner as well.

Speaking of running, have you ever thought about a race between Super Heroes. Who would win a race on land, be it the 100 m or a marathon? Will it be Superman or The Flash? This might be a challenge to undertake! Do all the races and see in which T-shirt you do your best time – as Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman or The Flash.

Remember, whether you participate to perform or just to enjoy the walk or run, you will also be helping those in need. Helping others is what Super Heroes do. Participate and earn your Super Hero status. What South Africa and the World now need are people who care for one another. By taking to the road on the day of each run, wearing your Super Hero T-shirt, runners all over the country will show their solidarity to rise to the challenge of adapting to the changes we are facing, to help their fellow citizens and to show we will all run into a brighter future.

During this difficult time, the Toyota Cheetahs strive to make a difference in the community by taking part in the Justice League - Virtual Run and supporting Headstart kids in their pursuit to make sure that as many kids as possible receive the necessary nutrition in their meals, in order to increase their development.

Participation in these virtual run/walks ensure contributions to beneficiaries such as Headstart Kids [who provide specialised, nutritional food packs to children aged 6 months to 5 years]. Relief will be given to people in need. The more entries, the more Food Packs and meals our beneficiaries can distribute.

The Justice League™ Virtual Run Series also introduced a concept to assist our older children by allowing schools across the country to participate as a unit. Once a school comes on board they are provided with a unique tracking link that their respective school community can use to enter and on these entries linked to a school the series also provides an additional R10 per entry to the school to assist them with their much-needed fundraisings activities to keep our schools and children’s education going during these difficult times.

The Justice League™ Virtual Run Series

The Justice League™ Virtual Run Series is the official series of Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment in South Africa. The events are produced by Sportsvendo, the same company who brought the unprecedented successful, The Color Run to South Africa.

Designed to empower women, men, and children from all walks of life to harness their favourite Justice League™ character and unleash the Super Hero within.  Calling all Super Heroes to The Justice League™ Virtual Run Series.

You will be able to partake in 5 Virtual Runs.  Super Heroes will leave their residences, on the same day at the same time as Superman then the following months Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman and then The Flash; running, walking, jogging, cycling, pushing prams or even crawling all in aid of our beneficiaries to help the people of South Africa who need it most, our children.

Sunday, 4 October: Batman Run

Sunday, 8 November: Flash Run

Sunday, 13 December: Superman Run

Follow our celebrity Super Heroes,  Letshego Zulu, Nicole Capper, Kagiso Sebediela, Paul Rothmann and LeAnne Dlamini and patron Ilzé Saunders Buys! They will make sure our eyes are bright with anticipation as we lead up to the next Run/Walk. Our live warmup team, Fitness Icon, will ensure our brows have the lightest trickle of sweat as they will take South Africa through some crazy fun warm-up routines before the Aquaman Run, and we all sing and dance along even while apart.

Our Toyota Cheetah Rugby team and Proverb has also joined the Justice League Virtual Run Series, supporting the most vulnerable our children. Proverb as our official Aquaman celebrity Super Hero will be adding his voice to our great cause and as we all know, there is never a dull moment when he’s nearby!

After these Virtual Runs the entire South Africa will get the opportunity to participate in the actual "venue based mass group" events that will take place in the major South African cities.
