Biography

At the end of the 2016 season, the Pretoria-based Blue Bulls announced that Maxwane would join them for the 2017 season, he was subsequently also included in the Bulls Super Rugby squad for the 2017 season.

PRO14 debut – 2 December 2017 vs. Scarlets in Bloem.

Maxwane had to fill the huge boots of the Springbok winger, Makazole Mapimpi, after the latter joined the Sharks.

Maxwane was the hottest outside back during the 2018/19 season and up until the match against Leinster on 1 March, he had scored 13 tries for the Toyota Cheetahs.

The speedster is one of a handful of Cheetahs players the Springbok coach, Rassie Erasmus, is monitoring closely.

The Toyota Cheetah wing was one to the team’s stars this year in the Guinness PRO14 series.  With his 14 tries he was the leading try scorer in the league.  He this he equaled the Guinness PRO14 try record of Tim Visser (Edinburg – 2010/22 season).  He received the award as the  Guinness PRO14 Top Try Scorer for the 2018/19 season.  Rabz was on the field for 1557 minutes (19 matches and 47 minutes) – second most in the competition.
