Anthony Volmink is an outside back who is equally comfortable on the wing as he is at fullback.
Born in Bredasdorp in the South Western Cape, Volmink, started his senior career in 2009 at the Boland Cavaliers.
He made a name for himself during the five years he played for the Lions. In that period he represented the team in the Vodacom Cup, Currie Cup and in Super Rugby.
He currently holds the South African record for the most tries scored by a player in a single game, nine. He scored the record nine tries in April 2013 in a Vodacom Cup game when the Golden Lions beat the Limpopo Blue Bulls, 161–3.
Before moving to the Griquas, Volmink, had a brief stint in Port Elizabeth where he played in six matches for the Southern Kings.
