The versatile Benhard Janse van Rensburg has added a lot of value to the Toyota Cheetahs during his stay in Bloemfontein. Janse van Rensburg is another product of the North West University Pukke and starred for the team in the Varsity Cup.
The flyhalf, who is equality at home at centre was signed by the Sharks, however, ended up playing for the Southern Kings as a loan player in the Guinness Pro14 last season.
Janse van Rensburg has already made a name for himself at the Free State and helped guide the Toyota Free State XV to the semi-finals of the 2018 Super Sport Rugby Challenge.
He has been successfully converted into a centre, and is a regular in the Pro14 starting team where he partners Nico Lee in the midfield.
He missed the first game of the Cheetahs tour to Ireland and Wales after sustaining a concussion against the Southern Kings in Bloemfontein. He missed the match against Connacht, but joined the team for the games against the Scarlets and Leinster.
