In Round 5 of the Currie Cup Premier Division – sponsored by Nashua and DirectAxis, the Toyota Free State Cheetahs will be travelling to face their neighbours, the Tafel Lager Griquas in Kimberley on Saturday, 15 September. The action kicks off at 17:15
Coach Daan Human has announced his team for the encounter with a couple of changes:
Johan Kotze will be starting as no. 1 prop with Kevin Stevens providing cover on the bench. Niell Jordaan has been selected for the Guinness PRO14 side, which gave Daniel Maartens the opportunity to start on flank. Abongile Nonkontwana moves to no. 7 flank and Stephan Malan to eight man. Vuyani Maqina will be replacing the injured Lloyd Greeff (ankle) on left wing. Stefan van Schalkwyk and Ryno Eksteen are new to the bench. Van Schalkwyk will be making his Currie Cup debut when he sets foot to field.
