The fleet-footed Central University of Technology Ixias fullback, Cohen Jasper, is delighted to have signed a contract with the Toyota Cheetahs.
Jasper has not only been a standout player for the Ixias, but he has also been one of the stars of the 2021 Varsity Cup.
His highlight thus far was his match-winning try against the Maties during round six of the competition in Pretoria.
Jasper told OFM Sport that his style of play will suit the Toyota Cheetahs.
“I'm very delighted about the contract that I got here at the Cheetahs. “Getting a contract with the senior team was one of my goals.
“But first, thanks to CUT who gave me the opportunity to express my talent on the field.
“I think I will fit in at the Cheetahs because they like to attack and that is one of my strong points.”
Jasper, who hails from the Boland, has previously represented the Free State at age-group level and is currently an IT student at CUT.
Jasper will link up with the Toyota Cheetahs at the conclusion of the Varsity Cup.
The third bubble of the Varsity Cup starts next week Monday and the Ixias will have games against NWU Eagles, UWC and Tuks as they attempt to secure their first-ever semi-final.
