The Toyota Free State Cheetahs and the Tafel Lager Griquas will face each other in two warm-up matches ahead of the Currie Cup.
This comes after SA Rugby confirmed yesterday that the Currie Cup will kick-off on 10 October.
Next week, the Peacock Blues will play in Kimberley, and the following week the second game will be contested in Bloemfontein.
Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that the two games will be used to fine-tune for their Currie Cup title defense.
“We are looking forward to the Currie Cup and getting back on the field again.
“We will play against the Griquas in a little more than a weeks’ time in Kimberley, and then the following week in Bloemfontein.
“Those will be out two warm-up matches before the Currie Cup starts in October.
“We are all looking forward to that and defending the Currie Cup. We want to win the title again.”
Domestic rugby kicks off next weekend with a Super Hero day at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
