The Toyota Cheetahs will be facing the Vodacom Bulls in the second round of their Vodacom Super Rugby Unlocked campaign on Friday, 16 October in Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.   

The action kicks off at 19:00 with a live broadcast on SuperSport.   Due to Covid-19 regulations, supporters will not be able to attend the match. 

The Toyota Cheetah’s 22-point win (53-31) over the Pumas in Round 1 of Vodacom Super Rugby Unlocked was the biggest winning margin of any side in the opening round.

The Toyota Cheetahs (703m) and the Vodacom Bulls (503m) gained the most and second most meters respectively of any side in Round 1. 

The Vodacom Bulls’ squad beat a combined 34 defenders in the opening round of Vodacom Super Rugby Unlocked, 11 more that the next best side on the opening weekend (Pumas – 23).

The Toyota Cheetahs (Clayton Blommetjies – 3 and Jasper Wiese – 2) and the Bulls (Morne Steyn – 2 and Ivan van Zyl – 2) were the only teams to have multiple players make more than one offload in Round 1 of Vodacom Super Rugby.

Coach Hawies Fourie made one change to the bench with Jacques du Toit as the reserve hooker.

Clayton Blommetjies will be running onto the field for the 100^th time in a Toyota Cheetah jersey (career total for the Cheetahs).

The referee for the match is Cwengile Jadezweni.  He will be assisted by Ben Crouse and Griffon Colby.  The TMO is AJ Jacobs. 

Players not available:  The following players are not eligible for team selection due to injury:  Wilmar Arnoldi (cheek bone), Reniel Hugo (knee), Aranos Coetzee (ankle), Rhyno Smith (quad), Duncan Saal (hamstring), Dries Swanepoel (calf).
